Invermere is a town in British Columbia, Canada. It is located at the confluence of the Columbia and Kootenay Rivers in the Rocky Mountains. The district has a population of 14,000 people and offers many things to do for visitors.
Invermere is a very popular tourist destination because of its natural beauty. Tourists can visit places like the Columbia Lake, which is one of the deepest lakes in North America. They can also enjoy other activities like hockey, walking, golfing hiking, fishing, skiing and kayaking.
Due to Invermere's popularity with visitors, its wastewater system is a major focus for the district administration. In 2013, we participated in the upgrades of the lagoon system, after a contractor failed to complete the works. Due to damages to the lagoon biology and plastic liner that where caused by the contractor. We had to completely re do the pond. We disludged the lagoon, treated the influent water and sludge, reconstructed the entire lagoon to meet modern standards for performance and maintainability. After 2 months of work, we delivered the lagoon as seen in the photo. Success!
